Found myself chuckling as I drove away from the gas station yesterday.  Somehow my ‘need’ for a Dr. Pepper turned into 5 large slushies.  Plenty for a mom and seven children.

You see, the previous summer we had, on couple occasions, treated ourselves to a refreshing slush from that very convenience store…and the kids remembered.

  • MAKING MEMORIES CAN BE A SIMPLE AS DOING THE SAME THING TWICE….THE KIDS WILL REMEMBER 🙂

Like when I was about 12 or so and the McDonald’s across the highway from our home started serving HUGE vanilla soft-serve cones for $0.25.  Now Dad didn’t have a reason not to buy us a treat!  I remember getting spoiled on ice cream cones that summer!

I hope the kids have simple pleasures that they will remember always.  I hope I am giving them just the right amount of opportunities to fill their memory banks will pure, clean, family fun.
